Sound as a space for healing and January events
Hello!
I hope you are all well and coping better than me with the fact there is no more leftover Christmas food. (I can recommend trifle for breakfast by the way.)
You might notice January is a bit busy for wellness events with more than on the previous lists! I wanted to flag a couple of things that stood out to me.
First, Dorset Children’s Foundation has a new community hub in the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe and will be running some wellness sessions there specifically for parents and carers of children with disabilities. Thursday afternoons - email Gemma for more info gemma@thedcf.org.
Also, the people over at Parks in Mind, part of Parks Foundation, have put together an awesome schedule of free events for January. You can check out the whole lot here.
And for the catch up with a local practitioner this month I spoke to Robin Freeman. He is a sound man through and through and talks about why he left the music industry and started taking people on healing sound journeys.
I hope you have a brilliant start to 2025 and if new year’s resolutions don’t do it for you, you are welcome to borrow my alternative which is simply to set a theme for the year. Think self-care, outside, inspiration, music, family, love… whatever speaks to you as something it would be good to focus on for the year ahead.
